Differential assembly removal / install - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I was wondering if anyone had removed their differential assembly could they give a short rundown of what is involved and what needs to be removed.

When I removed mine I had the exhaust removed, drive shaft out, Most of the suspension out to remove the shafts, and a good jack to hold the dam thing. I had more of a pain getting it back up than out.

Easiest thing to do is download Pfadt's instructions for installing differential bushings. It goes step by step with pictures. It is actually very easy to do.

I haven't reinstalled mine yet but I have a 13 yo and a 15 yo that will help me if they want to eat that day.

Thanks, the Pfadt instructions are just what I was looking for. I figured I didn't need to remove the axle nuts at hubs. Looks like a fairly easy job.
