ZL1 Wheels

Are the silver ZL1 wheels clear coated? I know they are painted but are they clear coated? I was told they were. If thats true, then you can use polish on them. Im not talking about aggressive wheel polish that would polish right thru the paint but polish that you would use on your car paint. I was told you can use anything on them that you could use on your car paint. Products that are made for your cars paint. Is this correct. Please, no "I think so". Somebody who "knows" please chime in.Thanks a lot!!!

Thanks man. I was pretty sure they were but wanted to make sure.
I would never use an aggressive wheel polish on them but if I ever need to polish a scratch out(with car polish) or something like that I just wanted to make sure they were clear coated!!

I just wash mine then finish with detail spray. The thing I wish there was, is a EASY button for cleaning them. These are more of a pain to clean than the SS.

Yep. I think it takes me as long to wash just the wheels as it does to wash the entire car!

Yup washed the wheels 4 times and car once. Definitely a brake dust generator. I have always used eagle one wheel cleaner and have had great results. I am not sure what anyone else recommends. I use a big lambswool mit and get between the rotors and inside wheel cleaner etc. Did not think if waxing them.
