Need help with 1LT vs. 1SS decision
Ok, here is my dilemma. I want to order a 1SS but the 1LT has more option choices (C&C package, for one) I might be happy with the V6 but really won't know until I drive one. Here is my question. If I order a 1LT, can I switch it to a 1SS after I test drive the V6? Assuming I want more power. I'm not in a hurry to take delivery but I don't want to get hit with the likely price increase so I'd like to lock in pre-sale pricing. Anyone have an answer?

I would definately go with the V8. 300hp is nice, but 400hp is 4 wheel fun.

For me, it would be the V8, but you gotta get what's right for you.

Very similar situation here but between 1SS and 2LT. I would like to drive both as well as see where gas prices are sitting when I purchase, around October.

If you're unsure, you shouldn't think of ordering one until you drive them both. Obviously, the SS will be the more powerful car. But I suspect you'll be more than happy with the LT considering the options you seem to want. Bottom line I guess is: test drive them before ordering anything. |

I ordered the 2LT for one reason, well 8000 of them actually. I just can't justify the $8k difference for the V8. If I want to go drag racing, $8k will buy a pretty fast car, faster than the SS. But that's my opinion.
If money was no object, I too would have gone for the SS. Or maybe a Z06...

If you're going to get one, go all out. Life is short. Buy the SS.

SS if you can afford it. The V6 is if you want more of a daily driver with better mpg, little cheaper long term cost of ownership. Don't buy a V6 and expect to be notching up a lot of road kills with it. But if you don't need that and don't care then the V6 is gonna be plenty fast.
