1LE Engine Cross Brace for 2SS
I have a 2011 2SS/RS and wan to to get the engine cross brace from the 1LE to put on my car. It looks like a bolt on with maybe a couple of holes drilled. Anybody have information on this.

If you have a late 2011 that has the predrilled holes for the convertible than it's the same as the convertibles. If you have an early 2011 that is the same as the 2010 than you're SOL. There are a few aftermarket ones that work though.

As stated before, its same as 2011 convert has. Any GM parts place will have it if you need part number I can find it, if you cant.

Exactly, mine was built Feb.'11 and has the provisions for the strut brace. Just take a look around the top of your strut towers,if you see three threaded holes around each side your good to go! if not your SOL :(

I put one on my 13 2SS. Really simple,I can feel it is tighter handling and looks good. Bolts were about $4 each, need six.

I just checked my car and it doesn't have any pre drilled holes. So am I SOL or could I drill holes and then mount it, or without the holes with the welded in nuts there wouldn't be enough support for it to be viable? I wanted the stock look on the car.

I've considered getting this
http://lakewoodindustries.com/suspen...ce-camaro.html It can be had cheaper than on that site but it had a clear picture. BMR also has a few different styles. http://www.bmrsuspension.com/?page=p...d=76&catid=222

Is there a screw on bolt under the fender for the 1LE, or can you just bolt the the 1LE strut brace directly to the tower with bolts under the fender?
