Arrow Unknown oil leak??

Hi everyone our 2012 Chevrolet Camaro now has 85+K miles on it and when I was doing the oil change I noticed that bottom tube in these pictures unknown what the tube is? Is always wet with and it looks like motor oil. The seals/gaskets I had to replace at 75K miles were the camshaft seals/gaskets. Is this a common issue on these cars to be wet in this area? It is under the engine on the passenger side close to under the front timing cover. Any ideas where this oil leak could be coming from?

All I have to say is to check your oil level weekly. I don't see this when I change my oil.

I always do all our oil changes and on time too and every oil change it is always wet with what looks to be motor oil in the areas in the pictures. I was hoping other guys here with V6 Camaro’s would know where the motor oil was possibly leaking or coming from??I may have to take our V6 Camaro to our mechanic or Chevrolet dealership service department to have the motor oil leak diagnosed. The camshaft oil seals were replaced once before at 75K miles. Does anyone here have any ideas of where the motor oil leak could be coming from??

Who replaced the camshaft seals and gaskets. Maybe they are still leaking? I had a similar leak many may years ago. I had the dealer replace the front end gaskets under warranty. No issue since then.

The camshaft seals were replaced by a automotive service shop. The shop Foreman of the automotive service shop said if the seals leak again come back. At every oil change I inspected everything and I noticed the motor oil leak approximately 10K miles later. What front seals of the engine did you replace?? Do you know all the seals in front of the 3.6L V6 engine??

part # item

12607401 engine camshaft and valve cover gasket

12641261 engine camshaft and valve cover gasket

12615968 manifold gasket

Those were the 3 big items replaced, along with an engine coolant pump seal, radiator hose lower, some bolts, engine coolant gasket, coolant and oil.

Thank you this is a big help. I will have our service automotive shop we trust put our V6 Camaro on their lift and diagnose it soon. Our V6 Camaro is due for another oil change, inspection, and general maintenance.

Check oil filler neck. They seem to leak from the seal. Mine seem to leak like that and the filler neck was my problem.

Hey guys, I have the same issue on my car...
Did you find out what the problem is? I don 't see any leaks coming from the valve cover gasket but I didn't look on the back.
Please let me know!

Thanks!

That "OIL" looked like Trans fluid on that close-up, not engine oil, wrong color...

The other guy that said oil fill neck, wrong side of the car...

It does look like a transmission oil, I checked it again and I can't see any leaks from the valve cover gasket, it must be coming from somewhere else, the heads and block are super clean. There is another thread talking about the bolt for the shift detente but I don't know where it is on the v6 automatic.
Anyone?

Thanks!
