Service Power Electric Steering 14 Camaro SS

I have a 2014 Camaro SS and the Serivce Power Steering, Drive with Caution light comes on the dash and the steering does not work. I moved the ground near the airbox straight to the engine valve cover, and the message did not appear. However the steering still did not work. I know many people have had this problem, but can't find a solid solution/fix. Anyone have this issue and have a known fix?

my problem is my steering actually works. I didn't touch my ground when I installed my CAI. i have a 2014. I came on hear last year looking for answers and still don't have any. A year later, same message, stabilitrak is always off, but the car drives fine. I know I need to get it looked at but the only chevy dealer in my town charges $300 just to look at it and majority of the time shops these days don't really know these cars well. I know it will just get a bandaid and the message will more than likely come back. Then they will try something else and then weeks later the message will probably come back. So im torn right now on what to do.

If you are having other messages pop up you might consider checking the health of your battery. I know when my battery started weaken I would get random Stablitrack messages .

this would give me codes? cause power steering messages? How should the battery needle look under the dash. it moves from time to time but it never goes below the halfway mark. kind of floats between half and before the red mark.

My 2014 SS had the service stability track and service power steering errors. GM could not resolve this problem. After paying hundreds of dollars to the dealer without result I worked independently. In my case the system had no communication between the multi axis sensor and steering angle sensor. The four wires to the multi axis sensor (located under the center console) were routed under the sensor boss and crushed by the force of the fastener. After repairs to the wires I went to a non dealer shop to perform the angle sensor zero process with a snap on scan tool. All the errors are gone and fully resolved.

The dealer could not fix this problem or could not find the problem?

Dealerships are a joke anymore these days. They rarely take the time to properly diagnose anything. They like to hook up a scanner and throw parts at it you may or may not need, and charge you for them.
