I would keep the 1LE. An IOM 2013 is pretty rare. I love the Stingrays but that's a lot of money for a car. You know your situation and what you can afford. If possible, like others have said, take a test drive. See if the car feels like it's worth $30K or so more than the 1LE. I know with my 1LE as much as I paid for it I can be too careful about where I take it for fear of something bad happening to it. If you got the Stingray you might treat it like that too, so you might have more fun in your 1LE. Just some thoughts.

You will have your answer in the test drive.
Do the test drive, go home, sleep on it, and the following morning, if you are still thinking about it, then go sign the damned paperwork. ...but don't come back again 8 months later, wanting the next iteration of the Corvette, after you buy this one, because you know that_they_WILL_have_something. It's called marketing , and yes it's a trap! Which is precisely why I drive my 1LE and mind my own business, and don't look at nothing else. Hell I'm not even going to the auto show this year, because the temptations can be....... |

If you can afford the C7, I say go for it, even if your 1LE is only 6 months old. Only if you can afford it.
Good luck and post pics if you get one! |

I had a 10 2ss camaro with a ERL 427 and sold it to buy a c6 z06. I hated the way the vette road, that it had such a generic interior, and it was not nearly as fun to drive as the camaro. The c7 is a different car though. I love my 1le and wouldn't trade for a corvette. A zl1 maybe. Make sure you take it for a long test drive before you make the decision. Good luck.

If I could afford it I would get the corvette... I just traded in a 2011 Grand Sport for my 1le and have regretted doing it... The Camaro is nice but imo there's just nothing like a vette. The corvette just accelerates so much better (at least compared to what I have owned).... so it sounds like money is not an issue, go get the c7!!!

I'd drive the new 1LE for a couple of years then pick up a two year old 2104 Stingray with low miles after someone has else has taken the big depreciation hit.

I really want the Vette, but I feel like it would be a stupid move.

Yea, I spent some time as a kid on a little island in the Pacific. I do miss that life. And with my job I can live anywhere. How did I wind up in South Jersey?

It could be, but it is a genuine offer I think. She is really cool about this stuff. I think she means it. We both know how to spend money.
