Am I insane? (green?) - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've been waiting for this car for a long time, and I think I am now starting to lose my mind over it.

I've been doing some meditation and soul-searching lately. My question to myself (which I now in turn will be asking here for opinions) is, is it sane for me to be waiting so long for a car that I want ust because of the color?If you look at my sig you will understand what I mean. It's not like I believe green is the only color this car looks good in. but I owuld really love a dark green 5th gen.

Now here comes trivial part of this all. It is pretty feasible for me to afford a 1SS (dont feel the need for a 2SS) in the next few months. Should I just give in and buy one in my next favorite color? Or should I just continue to wait for the perfect match for me. I know you will all sayI should wait for the perfect car for me. But the thing is I'm not sure about this. Green to me can only be done correctly one of 2 ways, dark or darker. I know some dont agree with me, but when, or more like if, this green color comes out it is bright and pale like the synergy color we have been talking about, I will be severly dissapointed. Not at GM or at the Camaro, but at myself for having waited so long, only to fall back on my second choice.

There is on way of me knowing whether the green color that will be offered (if it even is offered) will live to my expectations. I only wish I could know.....

What do you guys think, should I just suck it up and wait, or jump in and join the fun?
I am really starting to lose my mind over this.

buy a silver one and use that for the basecoat for your own custom shade of green...then you have a one-of-a-kind camaro personalized for you

I say you jump in Milk. You could always get it custom painted green if you really really really wanted it afterwards.

Painting is not an option. Money being the main concern.
Money I would rather spend on school or other mods.

That's my real question. Not only if there will be a green, but whether it will be a nice dark, maybe metallic, green. Or that pale gold flaked synergy green we've been looking at.

It's a tough decision man--I'm one that can say that waiting really pays off..think about it..I should have had my car for a couple months now..but I went and bought a truck haha...then came back and it's all happened for a reason and I've got some cool stuff coming with the car now...I want to say wait but it's not confirmed on the colors so I say jump in and join the fun if you are really thinking about that route!!

Color was not a big factor in my decision to order. I just wanted the car regardless of what colors were offered.
Which is more important to you? Having the car or having the green car.

Imo go to some of the bigger dealers and look at all the colors on this car. I think you will find one u love thats available. Iom,yellow and victory red would be my advice if u like green.

Just so everyone knows. I love this car, but would really love to see it in green.
If I dont get that color, my next choice would IBM which in no way is inferior. imo

I feel you pain Milk but my mental breakdown was over the upcoming "preformance" model..... Ughhhh.... it is not a easy decision
