First I'm over 50 and second does anyone really use the back seat? My 6 year old granddaughter doesn't even like riding back there.

mine gets used all the time. By a 21, 18, 14, or 12 year old. They like riding in there. There only other option is the rear seat of an f150 extend cab. They prefer the Camaro.

My backseat gets used more than my passenger seat.

I've had Corvettes since I was in my 30's. I'm 49 now.
I traded in my 2005 Corvette coupe for my new Camaro.
I get more thumbs up and comments from the Camaro than I ever did with the vette.

Easier egress makes the Camaro more useable as a grocery getter, therefore it gives you more opportunities to drive it.

I owned two Camaros before I got my first Vette at age 23. I now own my 6th Corvette and we just bought our new Camaro. I love them both! They have different personalities, and they are fun in different ways. I have wanted the new Camaro since the first time I laid eyes on it, and am very happy to have one. Would have rather had the V8 but since I wanted the Synergy Green it only came with a V6, but with 304 hp I can't complain. I like to tell people we have a 700+ hp driveway!

With both the Corvette and Camaro, our Chevy performance family is now complete, and I couldn't be happier!

The Camaro is more versatile than the Vette (I use to own one) , easier to get in and out of and it’s got that muscle car retro feel/look about it. It's just a bad @$$ car to have, period.

1) I like the looks of a Camaro better.
2) The wife always wanted to own a Camaro.
3) I was able to get a loaded LTZ Duramax and a 2SSRS Camaro for the price of a loaded Z-06.

Hmmmmmm.... no brainer!

I did not read the 50 previous replies but simple respond with this:

"becasue I dont feel the need to compensate for a small penis, maybe you should buy one though" This usually works!

I had a 2007 Corvette that I sold for the 2010 and I could not be happier! Corvettes... very overrated. They do look pretty but the interior is crap and there is a bad connotation with being an owner... I prefer the Camaro crowd any day!

I think it's a fair question. As I read the other responses, everyone has their reasons for picking a Camaro over a vette. For me personally, I sold my C5 Corvette which was basically my dream car when I bought it 8 years ago and I was really happy with it up until the day I sold it.

Here are the reasons that I like the Camaro more than the Vette:

(1) Camaro is less expensive. The 2SS/RS Camaro that I've ordered is still below $40K after taxes and everything. A base C6 Vette is $49K before tax.

(2) Camaro has a back seat. Some consider it to be useless. If I were single, I might be saying the same thing. After years of owning my Vette, it became painful not being able to take the Vette and the family anywhere. For example: weekend fun runs, car shows, getaways, etc.. I finally realized that I needed a car that did both - (a) fun and fast and (b) the whole family could enjoy. One of my Chevy friends told me that I fit the criteria for what Chevrolet is targeting with the Camaro.

(3) Riding comfort, at least as compared to my C5 Vette. I think that the Camaro is quieter and less wearing on you for longer trips. Specifically, road noise and suspension stiffness makes the Vette not as nice when you're trying to talk with someone on the bluetooth speakerphone or someone in the passenger seat. Getting in and out is also easier.

(4) Creature comforts. Not a "primary" factor for me, but my Vette was dated with regards to things like Bluetooth, OnStar, XM, USB, Aux Input. All solvable with 3rd party updates, but a hassle not being part of the factory gear.

The Vette of course is still better in so many other ways. HP, weight, suspension, gas mileage, coolness-factor, etc. I'll be a lucky guy if I get a chance to own one again...

Can I use that? That's a great comeback!
