I've never been in the passenger seat of mine yet. I've tried to get my mom to drive it but she never wants to. When it come to friends, I don't think I could come to letting them drive. Though only if it's an emergency.

I'm sorry, I thought you were asking if I let anyone drive my car? But then I thought, nah.... that's not a serious question, right? Clearly, a joke. Haha, good one!

Just drive it yourself by large office buildings with reflective glass for the "look", and with the window down drive in an alley between tall walls for the "sound"...lol

Or when you grant a friend, who admires your Camaro, the privilege of getting behind the wheel when it's idling only to get the shock of your life when he revs the engine to within an inch of its life! DAMN!

Let my roommate and best friend drive it. I was in the car though. I will have to let him drive it without me in it and have him drive by, I want to see/hear it. It's a whole 'nother experience from what I felt just riding shotgun that first time.

only my dad drives mine and I was very happy when I got to hear how loud my LT's and Corsa LS3 exhaust is, what a huge difference hearing the exhaust from the outside the car

When I was looking, a buddy of mine (a real car guy) tried to convince me to look at a mustang or g37 coupe. Once I got the car I let him drive it (while I drove his GTI). He admitted I made the right choice.
Let my daughter drive (only with me in the car). My wife drove it in a parking lot when we bought it but didn't want to drive it after that...until the other night when she went to town to pick up my son. She said "I am going to take the Camaro". I said OK thinking she was kidding. 45 minutes later she comes in saying "That car drives really nice". Maybe it was a mistake to let her drive it. |

My wife has driven it twice and only because I was coming out of the hospital after medical procedures and I was not allowed to drive my self. She joked that after a year of owning the car it took me being on drugs for her to drive it. I tell her she can drive it when ever she wants just know if she wrecks it, upgrade time.

After I bought my car, I had to return the rental Civic and had my dad drive my car to the airport agency. When I was done, he drove around to get me. As he pulled up, the automatic lights came on in the shadows. The brand new red glistened. It was straight out of a movie. Thirty jaws dropped including mine. I knew I had made a good buy.

I let a friend of mine, who now lives in Sweden and doesn't have access to a car like this, drive it. I owed him since, back 20 yrs ago, he always had the cool cars when I never had the means, and let me drive his. He was always crazy but knows how to handle a car.
Long story short...it was a really good thing I secretly left stability control on or else he would have put my Camaro into a ditch. Got it back without a scratch, but a lesson learned for sure. No one drives my car ever again. |

Wow, it sounds like a lot of you guys have shady friends that you can't trust?? LOL.
The easiest way to do it, is to let someone drive it who has a car similiar in value. They have a 100% appreciation for your car, because they appreciate their own. Shoot, my friend with his 02 Viper tossed me the keys and said "Drive it damnit!", I wasn't going to say no! |
