I think they are def sort of anti american, they dont hate America, they are just always poking fun at us and our cars, etc, in kind of a douchey way.

They will not admit when an american car is nice, so they are biased, and it bothers me to watch. They dont poke as much fun at european cars that have just as many or the same faults as american cars.

i know he loved the Z06, but couldnt help poke fun at the on star finding mcdonalds, and other things about it. But mercedes can find mcdonalds as well.

I only watch the show for laughs, never an honest review.

Top Gear UK is my favorite show. You guys are missing the point.

Here in America, its J.D. Power this, MotorTrend that...and we all know the reviews are bought off by manufacturers. On Top Gear, its awesome bc they review the car from their perspective as an individual. I personally found it hilarious when they were pointing out how much flex a Corvette has in its rear body panel...that's something that here, oh, well we can't say that on TV bc Chevy will have a fit.

And when Dodge refused to loan them a Challenger bc they were scared it would get slammed during the review...so they went out and bought one to prove the point that just because some big shot manufacturer won't give them a car doesn't mean they arent going to find a way to do the review, it was fantastic!

Do they poke fun at Americans? Yes. And Germans. And Australians. Just as Americans poke fun at others too. It's all in good fun.

People today are FAR too uptight and image-obsessed. Just have fun in life man. You never know when its going to be over.

Love the show...but hate the American version. It sucks.

100% correct. The show really is built around making fun of American cars (sometimes Americans as well) and praising British cars.

I would never buy a car based on someone else's review, unless the thing absolutely fell apart

, I'll buy one based on my own so it really doesn't bother me. I just watch Top Gear for the cars and humor.

Agreed. It is all in good fun. However it was pretty satisfying to see Matt LeBlanc turn the fastest time in the reasonably priced car. I'm sure an American at the top of their leaderboard irritates them. I'm guessing the Brit guests will be allowed some extra practice until someone knocks him off.
