We used to plastidip

It was called primer. We did it cause we couldn't afford paint on a roach (fast car that looked like hell).

I guess I am getting old. Don't get the plastidip thing.

I suggest you look into it deeper and research it further. It is hardly paint primer.

I know what it is. It looks like like primer more evenly coated.

I think of plasti-dip as more of a liquid vinyl.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I personally like it if it's done correctly. It's also a bonus that it can be removed.

I dipped my wheels, a few months ago, and they still look just like the day I did it. Plastidip was really appealing because not only is it reversible if you don't like it, but it's stupid cheap. Getting them powder coated would have cost me a heck of a lot more time and money, both of which always seem to be in short supply when it comes to my car. Does it look like primer? Kinda, but not nearly as dull. I think PoorMansCamaro comparison is much more accurate. So if you think that plastidip is nothing but fancy primer, you're way off base, unless you think vinyl wraps, and matte colors are nothing but fancy primers.

Since chevymall.com must be hand carving the bowtie inserts I ordered 2 weeks ago, I guess I'll be plastidipping the gold on mine for a show this weekend.

Don't worry, you're not alone. I'm not old and I agree with you.

I think it looks cheap and crappy.

It looks "neater, cleaner" but to similar to primer.
