What is an acceptable difference? 3mpg . . . 5mpg . . . 10mpg? If you are unlucky to get the short end of the stick I would be dissappointed. It would drive me crazy to see the V8s getting the same gas mileage as me. I am getting the V6 so I do better. All things equal then we would all get V8s.

Have you checked the electronic connections to see if any are loose?

Yes, so I am thinking there is a connection on the air intake tube. It provides readings to the ecu on how much air is coming into the engine.

I took a short rode trip today from Lansing MI to Novi. I had been a little disappointed in my last highway reading, but today was much better.
I have 2400 miles on my care with a first oil change at 1000 miles. My average today was 28.6. I did go several miles at 29.3 with a low of 27.4. I tried using cruise as much as I could but traffic limited my use. Side note: I only saw one other Camaro (RJT) on the road today. Before I noticed it, it had passed me. Nice Car Dude!

I had taken a trip when I had 1000 miles on my car. 500 miles @ 27.6 mpg on the way there @ about 75 mph, and 500 miles @ 26.3 @ 75 to 90 mph on the way home. Not to bad. She is broke in now with first oil change at 2000 miles. Should do better now. Will keep everyone posted.

@ 1,600 mile now and averaging ~23 mpg driving 80% secondary roads, 20% highway. After my last fill-up the first 100 miles were highway and I was up to ~25-26 mpg but as soon as I had to travel my normal route the tank average fell back closer to 23... I'm running 89 octane Sunoco.

2LT Gas Mileage
We have a yellow 2LT w/sunroof manual, driving back and forth from Bastrop to Austin daily with about 500 miles on it we are getting 25.6 distance is 28 miles 30 percent city 70 percent highway @ 65 MPH. Tried resetting the fuel milage while on the highway with a 1/2 tank of gas it registered 31 to 33 mpg. Soon as we hit the lights it dropped back down to 25.6. Saw where someone over on 5thgen replaced their mufflers with some resonators and claims to get 31 MPG @ 70MPH for 60 minutes so we are going to try the GM performance exhaust on it. That's comming Monday and hope to put it on next weekend will report what that does for it in a couple of weeks. We have been following the break in proceedure to the "T" can't wait to get the other 1000 miles out of the way then open it up and see what it does! We are going to give it the Bumble Bee treatment, already ordered and recieved the factory spoiler for it, @ the body shop getting painted right now. Can't decide on the stripes though found another company doing the bumble bee stripes for about 140.00 less than ridergraphics but after contacting them we may still go with there's but the wife also like the stock rally stripes and found that Pheonix Graphics carries them in Gloss Black for 219.00. It's her car she'll have to decide!!
