Looking for cool shifter knob for 2013 M6 - non threaded,....suggestions??

I am not crazy about the leather shifter knob that came stock with my 2013 RS. It feels very light, and flimsy to me,.....and it almost makes a rattle-type sound when shifting. It just feels hollow and cheap, despite it supposedly being the ZL1 shift handle (?).

I am looking for a more substantial ball shifter with more weight/heft, and a larger surface area for my hand. I believe it is the collar/turn-on - non threaded type from what I have gathered from searches. (yes, I have searched)

Anyone know of a company making ones that fit the 13's??

Thanks all.

TWM has some great shift knobs and they make a real nice adaptor for our shifters.

Even better, replace the shifter. A nice DIY. Good value here:

I've been looking into getting a custom shift knob made. But now after driving my car for a while, I'm thinkin about getting a pistol grip handle.

I like the shape of the OEM handle, but it feels very light, and hollow. I was hoping not to have to spend over $100 on the handle, but it looks like TMW may be the only game in town on this. Might try their coated "hybrid", as I have had metal in the past.....did not like at all.

A good, ol' cue ball style, (a la Hurst) with the shift pattern is really what I am chasing. I am fine with the shifter itself, very smooth, haven't missed a quick-shift yet.

PM me first if you decide to swap...I might be interested in buying your current knob.

Thanks!

I second Barton. Their pistol grip shift knob is very comfortable and is like the perfect size. It's surprising how much better feel I have with this pistol grip handle. It's made from a single piece of billet aluminum.

And the shifting is much improved over the sock shifter and you can adjust the throw to a very tight pattern.

That a nice looking knob, I just bought the black hurst pistol grip off amazon. Hoping I like it. I was going to get a custom 45th logo shift knob but It wound up being more of a hassle. Have to contact Chevy for use of the logo........
