Why is a Gulfstream trying to land on a 4800' runway? Come in too hot and you will overshoot.

It was a baby Gulfstream G150. I used to routinely land a Citation X in Hilton Head on a 4,300 foot runway. In fact as I type this I'm on an iPad in the ****pit now flying home from Phoenix at 45,000'.

No doubt. My nephew was a friend of Ricky's from his short track days and it seems like yesterday that the accident occurred. :( |

Does Jack still have his license since he's down an eye? I wouldn't think he'd pass the flight medical. They aren't too rigorous as I recall when I took mine a few years back, but it is a known fact he lost an eye in the last crash. I would think depth perception would be a problem.

She was shocked when asked about her uncle. So, I asked if she liked racing and she said it was just a way of life in her family. She also said she gets to drive on the tracks! I asked what she drive on the tracks... her response... and it deserves a .... And I quote... "Well, last time my uncle Jack threw me the keys to his car... I assume it was some sort of Mustang or something". End quote! She also made mention of all his plane crashes. Can recall if he still flies. |
