Hey guys. I have a question...

I was at a major local dealer looking for some pricing and info on a Black 2013 2SS with a RS package and Nav. They had a Black 2SS with the Performance Package which looked gorgeous! My only issue was that it obviously had a manual transmission. I need an auto, without question...

So I asked her to see if they had just a 2SS with the RS package somewhere on the lot that was auto. She came back and said they didn't have one BUT I could order a 2SS EXACTLY like the car in the showroom with an automatic...

I went over it with her again because I was under the impression the performance package only came with manual... She then assured me that was untrue. The sales manager then came out to assure me that I could get it in auto and actually said he'd fax me over a quote for one today???

Am I seriously misinformed? Or are they nuts?

No the 1le only comes in a manual transmission. Perhaps your dealer is going to order an automatic 2ss, and then add the 1LE performance package, like the ones debuted at SEMA. I wasn't aware they were available yet, but Im not a Chevy dealer lol.

isnt the reason its not available on auto is cause of the 3.91 gears? so unless there mocking an auto version using gm parts minus the gears, i dont know how they could order it lol

Im pretty sure you can throw any gear ratio into an auto. Actually, I believe a few members already put 3.91 gears in their autos.

Not from the factory you can't. The dealer could order all of the parts except the transmission, but that would cost you some serious cash. Might as well get an Auto ZL1 by the time you are done adding all the 1LE parts to an auto 2SS.

No no... they told me it would be $1300 extra for an auto and that's it. I wasn't going to add everything separately. I told them to work on their best number because I don't want to go back and forth and he said he'd fax over a quote today.

You cannot get an automatic 1LE from the factory... it's as simple as that.

If they can do it id take the wheels and run like hell

But I really don't think they would be able to order it(atleast at the same price).

Dynamite, make sure that quote has the 1LE RPO on it.... doubt they'll be able to order one with an automatic.

When the OP gets the quote back from the dealer it will be for a 2SS/RS and will not include the 1LE option
