A Supercharger was a no brainer for my auto so I can watch a lot of the manual guys having fun in my rear view mirror...

actually, the L99 "suffers" from AFM, it just so happens that the auto is the only transmission that GM would put behind the L99. if the changeover from 4-8 cyl wasn't so harsh in a manual, you'd better believe that GM would have had the L99 in both auto and manual form.

now if we could just get an LS3 Auto option, all claims would be put to rest.

I guess we'll have to deal with the auto ZL1 vs manual ZL1

It will cost you an extra 1,000 dollars to install a nice cam with l99

I enjoy driving stick. Even in stop and go traffic, I never hate it (except maybe after a really heavy leg workout). Sometimes I wish I had gone auto so my wife could drive it (we only have two cars and sometimes I need to use the Tahoe and don't want to leave her stranded).

With manual it seems like you feel the car more. Few things make me happier than that 6 to 2or3 shift for a redline pass.

To each his own though.

Fast forward

Ok so let's fast forwards a bit, let's say 10-15-20 years. Which car is worth more? M6 or A6 SS.???

They probably be worth about the same tbh. Not enough to base your choice off future value. That being said, manual. I don't know how to drive an automatic without giving myself whiplash... looking for a clutch but left foot brake instead
