A buddy of mine has a 06 M6. Its a V10 with 500hp but them cars weigh a lot. I believe they weigh around 5000 pounds. I believe with the weight difference and the added power you have you should beat him. I know my buddy and I will race when I'm done with my cam. I know I'll beat him but I would like to know by how much. Of course we'll race on the track.

Those cars are about 4500lbs. And are roll monsters you would of got yanked by one. Would need a cam to even it up. I ran a M5 in my GT500 and it wasn't but me pulling 3-4 cars lol.

+1

You woulda gotten taken pretty easy from that M6. OP is maybe what? 375 - 385 at the wheels?? The M6 even with est drivetrain loss should be around 430 at the wheels. He weighs only a couple pounds more than you as well. Even if you jumped out on him he still woulda walked you.

You realize the Camaro is no light weight either right? Curb weight is 3894 and the M6 is 3900 so.......

Are you L99 or LS3? Race from a dig or roll? Depending on what you have and what scenario you may be talking a fender difference or full cars.

If the M6 driver has any experience, you will get smoked.

Despite a slight weight advantage, those cars can really get the power down efficiently. Not sure even a cam would win. You may get the jump at the start but those cars catch up real quick.

I wouldn't tangle with any M6 unless I knew the driver was a total idiot or I put some serious power mods (FI) in.

They seem to run in the 12's but trap a bit higher than our cars. I think on the strip we might have an edge, but from a roll they would pull a couple cars as they are all top end.

I take it you have never raced a M5 or M6 ? It would put more than a couple cars on a L99.

There was a new M5 at our track last weekend. He said he had race cats and a tune. I line up against him twice. He was running consistant 11.6's in 4000DA
