Window Indexing

Greeting everyone! Just ordered my Black 2010 2SS/RS yesterday. Dealer told me 8 months until delivery.

I can't think of anything I'd rather do than chat it up with you all for the next 240 days. With your help, I hope to know the car inside and out by March.

One issue I was concerned with, but is probably too early to document. I currently own a 1998 Pontiac Firebird, and in the 11 years of ownership I have replaced the driver's side window motor twice. I love the window indexing feature of the new Camaros and Mustangs, but I can't help but be concerned with what may happen if the window motors do at some point become faulty and not allow window to drop when opening the door. Will one need to crawl in through the opposite side? Has anyone else heard of any problems with the window indexing, or does anyone else share my concerns?

Jeff

I noticed on mine that the window doesn't seem to roll down until after the door pops open. If that's the case, then a window stuck in the up position might cause an issue only when closing door.
