The busiest yet most unproductive day ever
So this last month has been crazy busy with school and work, and so I have had a lot of mods sitting at around that I haven't had a chance to install. But today was the first free day I have had in a while and I was really excited to do the install on HUD and my new Hurst Comp shift plate. So I started the day really early, I drove to my best friends house who who was letting me use her garage and driveway because my house was being painted today so my driveway was taken up. I started the install around 8:00AM and the install was going great! I'm about three hours into it and I'm about one step away from being able to take out the entire dash, and start putting in the HUD. Then my sisters calls. My older sister, who is pregnant, calls saying she is in labor and I need to get to the hospital. My Camaro is my only mode of transportation and I didn't know what to do be because the dash was in pieces. So I then decide my only choice is to reinstall everything, so I start putting everything back together and in 45 minutes I am on my way to the hospital. I got to the hospital and after about 2 hours of waiting I find out that my sister was not in labor and they were just false labor pains, and that my niece/nephew will not be born for a little while longer. So in a period of close to 7 hours I was incredibly busy with taking my dash apart, then putting it back together, then going to the hospital, but I got absolutely nothing completedb. The good thing is I put everything back together perfectly! And so hopefully whenever I do the full install everything will go ok. I may end up doing the HUD tomorrow but I can't decide, we will see! I'm not looking forward to it as those 3 hours where pretty frustrating at times and I'm not too thrilled to go through it all over again, but I want the HUD so I guess that's the price Ill have to pay

You could have asked your best friend's car to go to the hospital .

I've been in a similar situation before where i've taken parts apart only to find i needed an additional part or tool and had to put the car back together to get the part or tool and start all over again. It was very frustrating.

You'll be able to look back on it and laugh...one day. At least you're not the one who has to (eventually) go through labor. And you get to have little wrench handler buddies in a few years.

That sucks man. Hopefully you will get the HUD Installed soon because it's definitely worth it. I love mine and use it everyday.
