I wouldn't go to the track if the majority of the cars ran 9s in the 1/8th.

i usually build my cars' suspension so i can just race. and when i get the 2011gt to the track, it wont be an option right off. i'll be in everyone else's boat practicing getting 60' times with very limited traction. a bad track doesnt help that really though.

im not lookin forward to running my 11 gt stock. i have more hp, but run 295 street tires right now, and they cant hook for shit until about 60mph.

with more practive you should be able to get mid 8s out of your SS.

Got some mid 8s to mid low 9s that night. My son ran mid to high 9s the same night. He had never raced and only drove the SS about 60 miles before the track. Of course, the traction control was left on. Not bad for only driving army trucks!

I don't think I elaborated enough, I am sorry. I have a twin jet engine set up. The engines are those used on a 777 Boeing. They give me plenty of HP and torque. My 1/8 are impressive.

my 500rw stang never really gets traction with 295's. if im easy off the line the lag will have them break loose about 4500 and never get traction again. funny your 500hp v6 can get traction at all. i have a full tubular suspension set up for real 275 DR class.

pics are everywhere on stang net(billfisher), corral, and modularfords under this username.

nice motor. mine is limited by fuel. im pulling the motor and changing the rod bolts to arp 2000. they have arp 8740 now. im also using the stock cast crank (balanced for the forgings.) i bought a 2004 balanced cobra crank. im also losing the mahley light weight pistons. to many are fracturing the 2nd ring land for my comfort when i boost it higher. we've lost several in the car club to detonation and such. changing them to a better diamond probably.

funny you are taking offense for someone else who i was kidding on a bad rection time and run.

what heads are you using there?
pistons? did you port the heads yourself? what valves did you use in the heads? looks cool. sullivan, single blade. why only 800 rwhp? is that an iron block? if it is, how long do you think it will live?

i was saying my pics are all over the net on my porting job and build. sadly the pics were lost when my exwife deleted my account. but the articles are there. including fabricating that intake in my avatar from scratch. (almost).
