While I may only be dreaming of course, since ABM is the only color I like out of all the colors, and since it is now discontinued, would I be hated if I bought say like a white a 2011 2SS like the way I wanted with all my options and then have the car professionally painted ABM, would I still be allowed to post in the ABM forum as I am so welcome to now?
If you can afford to do this I can't see why we wouldn't welcome you to our club as a special guest. You would definitely get bonus points if you were to paint your '68 ABM.

However you might just try being patient and keeping an eye on cars.com or other such sites for a low mileage used ABM with the options you are looking for and save some coin. It took me 4-5 months of searching but I did find mine used. Of course that was last year so the mileage was lower but they are out there.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same.
Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different.
I can't wait for my next

Not sure about how the anthracite would look, but in my head I don't think it would look bad. I'm not a fan of chrome because it's a PITA to clean/keep clean on wheels (at least to me), but they look good.

I think the anthracite would probably look pretty good.

Here's what Tire Rack thinks it would look like on a 2LT.

Here is a pic from today's first Chicago5gen meet of the year. I love that I am usually the only ABM there.

Yea, that does look pretty good and that is why I am so on the fence. I do love how that pic shows the slotted rotors.

Maybe I will just go with those since, a) they are cheaper so I could spend saved money on springs/bushings/rotors/brake pads and b) they would be a little different from the IBM in the above pic.

Again, I see two pics like these and I start thinking that I may just flip a damn coin when it comes time to order my rims.

I'm sort of the same way. I love black rims on our ABM, but it doesn't go with my ABM/white theme. I keep thinking screw it though and just get black when I do. I have the blackout on my back by the bowtie, the front bumper area by the headlights, and the heritage grille will be too when I get it.

Sevn - (I feel like your agent or something..). My wife and I picked up a '11 2SS/RS Convertible this weekend at Ron Carter in Alvin. They had a used ABM on their premises. I didn't look closely at it (not sure if it was Auto or Manual), but it was definitely a 2SS/RS. They still don't show it on their site...but you can call them at 281.481.6680 if you want. We dealt with a Mark Mayo out there..good guy and he could help you I think.

Good luck..and if you buy it...use my name..I need some mods and a car cover for my new vert..maybe he could throw those in!!!!

Unhappy

I just have to chuckle because here I am trying to figure out what my car would look like with the anthracite rims on them and low and behold Sleez goes and posts up a pic with his new rims. What kind are they? Of course, the anthracite.

So now I KNOW what they will look like on an ABM and of course I still can't decide.

So it will probably still come down to a coin toss.
