So Cal Tune

I am looking to get my V8 L99 tuned. How much should I be looking to spend? Is a handheld tune even worth the money? I had my ECU tuned on my 2008 Silverado and that helped it a lot with shift points and things like that, anyone done something similar to that? I live in Glendora, Ca by the 57 and 210 freeways.

I have had several people referr to CMS Ryne and Mike and they all seem to like them a lot.

http://www.cunningham-motorsports.com/ I think a tune is running about 3-500 depending on where you go.

I had my L99 tuned by Ryne at CMS and would recommend them. Great work!

CMS is where I go for all my cars needs, so I'm kind of biased. Ryne is a great tuner so his time fills up rather quickly. If you want to get in, you have to plan ahead.

Give the shop a call. If you can't get ahold of them it's because the dyno is running.

I think you had people chime in for the best 2 spots in socal to get tuned. Mike Haddad is a real car guy and straight shooter. Ryne Cunningham is a real car guy and straight shooter. Both track their own cars and drive LS based cars.

I went with Ryne due to his experience with VVT in our L99's and couldnt be happier. Ryne is the owner and tuner for Cunningham Motorsports and will not let you leave until both you and he are happy.

I would suggest getting the basic bolt ons acquired to get the most out of the tune....a real good cai with washer bottle relocate and scoop ( CAI Inc, rotofab, halltech) and long tube headers with hiflow cats (Kooks, ARH, stainless) Those bolt ons plus the tune will give you a whole new car and get the most bang for your buck.

Happy modding!

Lol I am third sponsor in on this post... Op give us a call , email, or stop by, we can definitely take care of your needs... Better yet don't take our word for it, talk to a few of our customers and possibly go for a ride in their cars, the proof is in the pudding... With who ever you choose, I wish you the best.
