long time no see...but I got her back from paint!

SHE LOOKS GOOD! Long time no post...busy with school but I just got my Camaro back from getting a custom R/S stripe and 1968 badges to replace all the new ones!

Next step: EXHAUST!
I cant afford a cat-back yet, but Im tired of the "mute" sound she makes...any suggestions on mufflers that dont require a whole lot of torching or cutting? I want rumble, not ping. Ive been told some of the Flowmasters arent fitting very well, but Im not sure...any suggestions on what is working well?

Here are some pics..hope you enjoy them!

cool.

As for exhaust. A muffler delete is relatively cheap an will give you the rumble you want.

That's cool

But it seems like something's missing ... not trying to sound like a ass but all I see orange and a white stripe

Maybe it's just me ... to each his own ...

Any exhaust shop should be able to make you some straight pipes to replace the mufflers.

Price. It can go from anywhere between $200 and $600.

It just depends on the shop.

Borla makes a good system, SLP, Corsa, and MBRP makes a decent sounding one too. I'm thinking of Borla S-type with BBK long tube headers and hi-flow cats..?

Yeah the shop I go to is really good to me, so cost isnt too much of an issue....and Im sure I will find something that I like...I like the loudmouth, not too ping-y....we shall see!

And yes, it really is just an orange Camaro with a white stripe...but its MY Camaro with a white stripe that I paid for, and since I have one of three in town it makes me stand out from everyone else. Ill get more done to her once I decide for sure what I wanna do!

If all you are doing is the exhaust (no cai, headers, etc.), rather than cat back, do axle back.

It is cheaper and gives you the sound you are after.

I like the borla "s" model.. not really recommended for automatic cars.. due to the drone at 1800-2000 rpm's.

Corsa has a nice sounding exhaust.

Best bet is to find a large car show and listen to other people's exhaust notes on their cars, and ask them what they have. Most people will start the car up for you if you ask.

Looks great!

I've got just the GMPP axle back mufflers. They are a little better than stock but not very loud. No drone either.

If you want a nice tight and deep sounding system that has no drone and is just right on the highway I strongly suggest listening to the SOLO PERFORMANCE Exhaust kits. And they are VERY reasonable priced to boot.

Have you thought about doing that same treatment on the back? That might look cool too

I added the GMPP "off-road" exhaust, looks great from the rear & the sound is what I was looking for. Those "garbage-cans" GM put on from the factory are pitiful.
