Yeah? firm up them bushings! It's bound to help if those bushings are stiffer.. Less flex means more power transfer.

The diff is probably moving (flexing on the stock ruber mounts), but it can't go far.

Have you upgraded any of the suspension arms yet?
Spohn has some great parts for the rear arms of the Camaro.

I think you are harder on yours at the drag strip but we are putting them through the ringer on the autocross / road course. I test it hard on the track to make sure it holds up on the street

The only thing I have is Pedders Coilovers, Hotchkis Sway Bars, Hotchkis Chassis Brace and Pedders Radius Arm Bushings.

Talk to Graham or Bruce about a Supercar coilover upgrade or 600hp-lpe that I used to know before he confused me with hi avatar change . My guess is you would find close to 2/10ths with them and EP1167HDs.

must be the difference between the hard hit of the standard trans compared to the soft hit of the auto trans and the difference in the tranny's gear ratio's.

I had a lot of wheelhop when burning rubber in 1st gear until I got the HD bushings installed on the diff carrier. Stock or the soft poly bushings didn't cut it. With the HD bushings, you can't baby the car when burning rubber or it still will wheelhop a little.

If I launch in 2nd gear, there is enough wheel spin to overpower the grip that would grab and create wheel hop. It did not matter in second gear which bushings are installed (stock, wimpy, hd
) as the tires are doing 60 mph and the car is moving less than 10 mph.

I am assuming you are getting past the "grip" point quicker with the auto than we do with the standard trans. That's probably the difference and why you aren't seeing the same traction issue in 1st gear that we see.

I have an RPM Built Transmission and a Coan 3200 stall speed tq converter. It's not really a very soft hit at the line when it takes off. I do have trouble hooking up but no wheel hop. I definately need some slicks and I think some softer springs from Pete and I bet I could hook up pretty good.

yeah... the supercar shocks are a noticeable improvement over the xa's. I can see how these would pick up time on the drag strip..The separate (bound/rebound) adjustments make a world of difference on how the shocks/car will react to get you out of the hole.

I know they will improve my autocross track times.. I am anxious to try them out. My next event is on the 26th.

Hey pete... I'll swap back to my red devil avatar tomorrow so you know it's me.. it's on my other computer in my office. Just for you Buddy..

Dan,

Aside from the performance gains with Supercar coilovers, can you comment on the ride quality compared to OE and compared to the Xas?
