How do you treat Tailgaters?
Myself, if they are so close to my rear that I cant see their headlamps (day or night) I like to clean my windshield. Seems the spray aerodynamically contours the roof of my Camaro, and oversprays the hell out of the tail-gater. They drop back relatively fast. Better than potential damage with 'brake checks' and alot more fun too....

Uhh.. what's a tailgater? If they catch up to me it's my fault for not driving the car like it deserves.

I like to slow down gradually to see how long it takes them to move to go around me. Had a guy tailgate me from 75 down to 55 once, there were 4 open lanes to my left smh

I use to be bad lol the last thing you wanted to do was tailgate me. Granted that was with my 2500HD crew cab diesel 4x4 with a 6" lift and 35" tires and a big tow hitch.....I think you get what I am saying.......brake check anyone?
Nowadays I usually either gradually slow down or drop a gear or two and leave them. If I am in the fast lane then I pull into the right lane and let them by.

Slow down till they get over and then laugh at them for trying to go faster than me in the next lane.

I pull to the next lane and let them pass. No sense in inciting road rage or risking damage to myself or my car.

I've gotten bad about brakechecking. It's going to get me in trouble one of these days.
Tailgating has only recently become my biggest road pet peeve (and, related, pulling right up on my ass when I'm stopped at a redlight) |

I give them a little brake check or speed up.

Depending on the situation I either slow down gradually until they pass, or gun it and leave them scratching their head. If the later, I don't use excessive speed - not gonna get a ticket because of some idiot.
