Wow, there are some nice 2nd gens on here.

Here is mine, I have since changed the rear tires to a narrower 275 tire so these steam rollers are no longer on the car.

Nice car looks in great shape. I'm curious tho, why did you put a Z28 badge on it if Chevy didn't put one out until mid 77? I know for '75 and '76 model years the Z/28 was not offered. I had 2 '76 and they were both black Type LT's, loved those cars, so much fun to drive. I'm sure you've been asked that question a thousand times, so if you don't want to you don't have to answer the question. I hope you continue to have many miles of smiles with her/him.

I'm not the owner, but this '79 Z28 belongs to my in-laws. It's all original except for the wheels & tires. It has around 30K original miles on it, and is in the garage all but 3-4 days of the year. I'm cool with keeping it in great condition, but it sits WAY too much in my opinion.

haha i just think its plain without it and the red z really stands out, i know they didnt make a real z28 even though people act like i have no idea but its just something that helps it be a little different. It is a blast to drive now didnt realize my old th350 was pretty much tired out, put a th400 in and boy did it wake right up!

Glad to hear you're getting some more miles out of her with the updated mill. Lot of fun to drive when it responds to pushing down with that right foot. That is a great color on the car, can't say that I've ever recalled anyone around here sportin' it, well for that year that is. What do you have for suspension mods?

And now even better!
