OEM cradle bushings
Aloha gang,
I installed the bmr cradle bushings. The rear end whine is now un bearable. I even have a supercharge, long tubes, no resonator and straight thru Borlas. Where's the best place to buy oem or better quality rubber bushings? I have to switch back. Thanks

they used to sell the upgraded ones as part of the 1LE suspension package early on, then took them out of the pack.
I remember reading some guys buying an entire subframe as the only way to get those. I tried to save mine when I took them out, but burned them enough to make trash of them. Maybe try giving some performance shops a call and see if they can manage to get a set out in good shape. Good luck. Maybe try a diff swap? I have solid mounts and no whine. Mount might just have a noisy diff that the bushings masked. |

Todd, do you have OE or aftermarket differential bushings?

Your diff is noisy and the stock bushings hid the problem.

Cradle Bushing typically do not transmit the Noise & Vibration, while the Diff Bushings do. Did you replace the Diff Bushings when you did the Cradle Bushings?

Yup, I would like to find some offset rubber bushings for the diff so I can lower the car another 1/2 inch. Pain in the ass doing this job on jack stands. Cant even hear the supercharger, just rear end lol

Offset Bushings
The offset bushings wont lower ride height but they move the differential up to straighten the axle to a more parallel orientation to horizontal.

Exactly, I'm already lowered 1.5", I need to go another .5". But I don't want to do that without having the offset bushings in there. I have the 1000hp axels. But I don't want possible binding

All the rubber bushings (cradle and diff) are vulcanized into their mount points. That's why you'll never find rubber replacement ones. You're likely stuck with getting the OEM cradle and diff housing is you want to go back to rubber bushings.

There was someone here that was making offset bushing for differential. I read they were about to make rubber ones as well. But haven't been able to find them all of a sudden

I want to put in cradle bushings to stop the sub flexing then causing the driveshaft to hit the cables. I'm not running the rear heat shield obviously, but it would hit the shaft any way.

I know there is a company that can re vulcanize bushings, motor mounts etc. I just don't remember the name. As far as off sets I would imagine a machine shop could machine you out the putter and a inner aluminum section. Then have the vulcanized rubber shot in.
