We are definitely not a scam. We act as a liaison between customers and their dealerships. Are you currently having a vehicle concern?

I guess I'm just lucky. After over 3 years and 24,000 mostly interstate travel
including So Florida, Valdosta Ga, Canada Homecoming and Indy this summer, I still don't have any chips anywhere (except the windshield) on my SW SS built 8/4/09 #132351.

2013 Camaro with 9,200 Miles chipped like crazy behind the doors
I have a new 2013 Camaro, Crystal Red. It is badly chipped behind the doors where the body flares out. It has never been on gravel, it is in the garage ever night, it never goes out in the rain. It only has 9,200 miles on it. I thought it was a car wash at first, but then we looked at it and its chipping. Dealer tried to buff it out, and it would not come out. I have opened a case with Chevy to try to fix it. I dont know what to do. I love my car and it was very expensive. :-(

Paint Issues
I own a Red 2010 Camaro SS that I purchased around last April. I am not worried about the small paint chips because I expect this to happen and take care this issue myself. The problem that I am having is the paint on my driver side rear fender directly by the wheel has hair lined fractured and is slowly peeling away. First off I purchased the Paint Protector not so much for the product they say they put on your vehicle to keep your paint all sparkling but the warranty for acid rain and bird droppings as I hear that is GM/Dealers excuse for not covering the paint peeling problem. I am still in the beginning stages of this process and came back from a chevy dealership near me and they said bring it back after the holiday on Monday and they will send it off to a body shop. They said nothing about if it's going to cost me anything or not but the GM rep said he was going to investigate it and make some phone calls to the dealership that I purchased it from to see who is going to pay up for the defect. Also I am wondering if I don't get anywhere and at the end they tell my I am SOL, does anyone know of a lawsuit that is pending or is starting up for this problem?

First - CMBT, good luck with your Xzillon claim. That is a sham. Perhaps they'll consider it acid rain wear though. I've learned my lesson.
Second - I'm chiming in here to add to the "pain problem" list. I've owned 5 new vehicles over the last 15 years not including my camaro. Some of them owned to 100K miles(long commute to work) and NEVER had any paint problems like I'm having with the Camaro. I have roughly 34K on a 2011 Black SS and there are a multitude of pinhole like chips all over the place in addition to a few larger chips that showed no sign of damage. I can see down to the primer. Unless the new EPA regulations happened in 2010, I doubt that is the cause. The experience I had with paint and prior new vehicles starting in 1998 up to 2010 was nothing short of stellar. To really top it off, my wife and I bought into the scam known as Xzillon from the dealer. "It will protect the car's paint and protect it from dents and dings" we were told. Then "if you do get dents, dings, or have paint chips/scratches/problems Xzillon will repair it for free. All you have to do is submit a claim". So I submitted a claim for a few chips, two dents with paint transfer/chips, and a scratch. I receive an automated form back saying none of it is covered. Turns out, Xzillon only offers paintless dent removal on dents that show no paint damage at all (including paint transfer), are only between some absurd size criteria, and don't occur in a body crease. Essentially, they only repair dents that happen in ways/places that occur most commonly. Nice! $1200 down the drain because we trusted what a Chevy salesperson was saying. Should've known better. Although I love my car, I don't think I would ever buy from GM again at this point unless they can somehow fix what should've been fixed by the scam of a product we were sold. Would've been better off spending several hundred dollars on the 3M clear paint protection - but we were never offered that and I suspect it's because the profit margins are lower.

Found paint peeling on my rear bumper in a few spots I am going to take it to the dealership and see what they say I have a feeling they will blame it on somone backing into my car (no damage just paint peeling) or yea sorry it's not covered under the warranty :(

The paint on the 5th gen Camaro is the best I've ever seen on any GM car! I have 22,000 miles on my 2010 silver ice metallic RS and I have ZERO paint chips! First thing I did when I got the car I installed 2 big black plastic splash guards behind the front tires. Picked them up at autozone for $15 and it saved me from any frustration of rock chips on the fender well, door, rockers, or the rear gill quarter panels! I have a lot of friends with new Camaros and none of us have any paint peeling or chipping! We don't tailgate trucks and we don't drive down gravel dirt roads! The paint process that GM uses is the best in the industry, the same as Mercedes- Benz and BMW! I want to see ONE Camaro in person that has a paint problem, so I can see can for myself what the complaints are about!

My front fascia is a disaster and I have 5000 miles on my Camaro. I do not tailgate and I would never drive on a dirt road. I baby this Camaro, unlike my last car which had almost zero chips after 150,000 miles of 'normal' driving. Just because you haven't seen it doesn't mean it didn't happen dude. Some cars have problems, and some don't. They weren't all painted on the same day, by the same person, with the same equipment, from the same batch of paint, in the same color... |

Paint Fixed
A update on my paint issue on my rear quarter panel. I took my car into one of my local Chevy dealerships and they sent it out to one of there body shops and fixed it free of charge. After reading all of the issues fellow Camaro owners have gone through in dealing with there local dealerships and or GM customer service, I guess I just got lucky on this one.

I just traded my Camaro because of paint problems. My paint was coming off on the seems between the front fender and bumper as well as the spoiler. Funny story here, I brought my father along for the ride to trade it in. When we left my home I had repaired all the stone chips and I told my father that we will have at least a half dozen more to fill before we get to the dealer (1 hour drive). He thought I was full of it until we stopped at a rest stop before the dealer and I filled 8 more holes. Traded on the competition, drove that car home not one chip. Don't listen to people when they make excuses about the paint. It is not normal.
