Question about Warranty for a PreOwned Camaro

I found a 2014 camaro 2SS/RS 1LE for sale that I am interested in purchasing. The car has about 15,000 miles. The dealer told me that the car did not have its original engine, and that the previous owner had his engine replaced at a Chevrolet dealership a few months earlier. The previous engine, apparently, was replaced electively because the previous owner had "tuned" it. Am I correct in assuming that the only warranty that car might have is a parts warranty on the engine (how long is that?), and no power train warranty left? I'm pretty sure I should run and not walk away, but the pricing is pretty good. I just don't want to be left high and dry if something happens with the car.

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!

Ask the dealer selling it if it has any original warranty and if an extended warranty can be purchased.

Given that there are so many clean original cars out there, I would stay away from a 2014 that has already been seriously hacked.

But that's just me.

If i were you I would RUN now, 15k miles on a 14 is a lot, as soon as I hear about any kind of engine swap, im off to the next car

That might be why they are giving you an excellent deal on the car

Good Luck!!

I'm sure the dealer would know....why wouldn't you just ask them when you where there talking?

They aren't a GM dealer, and I didn't believe them. Therefore, I came here looking for confirmation about my specific questions.

Many of the people here have confirmed my initial thoughts that I should pay a few thousand bucks extra for an unmolested car.

Thanks everyone!
