Just thought I would give you the update, and let you know I got my car on my birthday yesterday. The RJT engine cover was installed waiting for me, and they put my old engine cover in the trunk.

I ordered my car in Oct. 08, took delivery late June, got the IOM engine cover in August. If I had to do it again I would skip the painted engine cover option all together. It's just not that great of a option IMO. The cover is not that great to look at and how often do you open the hood? I think it could have had some chrome detail to it and maybe that would have looked better.

If anyone is interested....I have a buddy that has a custom shop and I gave him my engine cover to do something to make it stand out. It looks awsome. He used a combination of the RJT body color and the silver. It looks awsome under the hood and really sets off the car. He is going to set up a price list for anyone who is interested. You can send him your original cover and he will prep and paint it and send it back to you. He took some high def pictures of the finished cover installed on the car and he is going to forward them to me so I can post them.

We've got them available. Our ship time from order is about 7 days right now. We offer more than just the painted outer covers, please take a look at our site. We'll be posting a lot of picture tomorrow: http://www.rpidesigns.com/shop/item.asp?itemid=1708

I ordered my IOM LT2 V6 with the IOM V6 engine cover and when it came in it wasn't there, nor was it on the window sticker and the dealer had no clue. I decided that it wouldn't probably look weird anyway and forgot all about it but I still wonder if it's going to show up someday.

here are the pictures of my custom painted cover
I finally got some pictures of the engine cover I had painted at my friends performance shop. If anyone is interested in getting theirs done you just have to give him a call. The job he did on my cover will run $250.00. (of course it will be in the body color of your Camaro)You ship him your cover, he will prep, paint and ship it back to you. His web page is jorysraceandcustom.com
