I just talked to Scosche and the kit has now been pushed back to be released in May and they expect to sell it for $299

In dash iPad ftw! I have been having feverish dreams about an ap that has full functionality or a photorealistic 2d facsimilie of what it would be replacing. My dreams also involve my car calling me Michael while red bars pulsate vertically. So if one of you would kindly get to work on that ASAP it would be nice. You haf mah gra-ti-turu. :slice:

100 for the kit doesnt seem like a realistic price. when metra and scosche are 300 each. hmm to good to be true?

I would love to pick up the Alpine Unit if only 2 things are found out to be true.

1) The HUD must still dislpay correct information when songs/stations are changed and when bluetooth/onstar calls/navigation are being done.

2) The center console USB port must still work for connecting thumbdrives/iPods for music.

Bonus Issue) Just also want to get clarification that the factory steering wheel controls will work and not require an Alpine branded remote tethered to the wheel.

Other than these items, this is looking like a totally slick upgrade.
