We have dozens of wild turkeys around here. They are usually smarter than deer when it comes to cars - but holy crap! That's a lot of damage! I'm so glad you weren't hurt!

Did you get to keep the turkey?
By the time I pulled the car up to the next road to unblock the road I had lost sight of it

How much turkey goo did you have to wipe off your face?

Glad you are OK - I handled some animal strike claims where there was some serious injury.

Good luck on the repairs. Hope it is back to ya soon.
Nothing, but feathers made it in I thought blood had when I saw small specs of blood on my hands but it was just some bleeding from the glass cutting my hands....The roof did get dinged up pretty bad though

I'm fine got everything handled just waiting on the shop to call with the estimate for my approval

Screamed out God right before it hit then after it rolled off my next word was damn (thinking how I just had my first accident and with a new car no less, also my first)

That sucks, I had the same thing happen to me 18 years ago in my service truck. What a mess that makes.

Poor Camaro! So Sorry this happened to you. A co-worker had a similar accident a couiple of years ago but not in a Camaro. Looks like you were able to maintain contriol & come to a safe stop which is good. You did not mention any injuries to yourself which I hope is true & if so that is a very good thing. I hope your Camaro gets fixed up quickly & good as new.

Pretty sure one of the safety tests they do for "glass" windshields, especially for aircraft, is shoot at it with a chicken fired from a cannon...lol...
