Lingenfelter 2010-2011 Camaro fuel pump voltage booster kit

We have released a 2010-2011 Camaro specific fuel pump voltage booster kit. The kit uses the 40 amp Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump but also includes a mounting bracket for the pressure switch, a connector for the pressure switch, and various other components to complete the installation. This is the same group of parts we have used when we voltage boost the fuel pumps here at LPE. This kit includes the parts for triggering the increased fuel pump voltage based on boost. For naturally aspirated applications you will want to trigger based off of vacuum or engine RPM (we normally use a vacuum switch). RPM activated switches and vacuum switches are also available from LPE.

Here is a picture of the complete kit:

Here is a graph showing the difference in fuel flow of the factory GM Camaro fuel pump module at standard charging voltage and then at 17 volts:

The flow drop off you see at around 80 psi is from the internal pressure relief valve opening up. The standard system won't go up to those pressures anyway since the fuel pump pressure is electronically regulated by the fuel pump controller (with input from the ECM).

The voltage booster kit offers variable voltage settings and can go up to 17 volts (the maximum we recommend for the stock pump and the factory fuel pump controller).

For supercharged applications over roughly 525 hp (at the crank), we recommend voltage boosting the factory pump.

For naturally aspirated applications over roughly 600 hp (at the crank) we recommend voltage boosting the factory pump.

Depending on your engine efficiency (brake specific fuel consumption, BSFC), the voltage boosted factory pump can support between 650 hp (supercharged or turbocharged applications) to 750 hp (naturally aspirated applications). For higher power applications we recommend our dual fuel pump system.

Fuel pump voltage booster installation notes:
  • Installation time of roughly 2 hours.
  • Fuel tank does not need to be removed from the vehicle.
  • Works with the stock pump and stock fuel pump controller
The instructions aren't up on our web site yet but I will make sure they get posted next week.
