And Motor Trend put the Camaro in 4th place!! Because of the A-pillars? WTH were they smoking?
Best looking of the bunch, 2nd in performance and at the lowest cost? 4th!!!?? /blah

edit: reasoning was based off being a daily driver? /double blah

I did take my car to the dragstrip when it only had a couple hundred miles on it, and I ran the 1/4 in 14.57 @ 97.89 mph, so those times are very close to what Motor Trend got (14.5 @ 97.3 mph). I gained a couple of mph and dropped 0.3 seconds after a couple thousand miles.

Haven't heard from you in awhile lostnight. So your into the low 14s then? Good stuff...be curious to see how you'd do with a couple basic mods like intake/exhaust.

Yeah, I had today off and did some grocery shopping at Krogers. Read some of the new car magazines on the rack, so I figured that would trigger some conversation, so I checked in here.

I'll probably get a tune first, I'm just waiting to see if a CAI/tune combo is worth it, or just a tune. Also I should pay my property taxes first.:( Hopefully I'll have something done by spring time.

Wow, 1.1 seconds 0-60 difference between the automatic and manual is a lot. I test drove a V6 auto Mustang when I was shopping around, so I knew that tranny was bad, but I never imagined it was that bad.

Correct, the Brembo package is only available on manual transmission cars.

The quickest 1/4 mile times have been 3.31 cars because the 3.73s are too much gear when combined with the transmission ratios. I've heard that 3.73 cars require a 4-5 shift, which costs quite a bit of speed at the end. 3.31 cars can complete the 1/4 in 4th.

Which is still faster that a G35.
