I hope it is! I would never buy a ZL1 - Way too pricey for someone who would never take it to a track (like me).
If Z28 vert comes out I'll jump that in a heartbeat (as soon as I can buy it for invoice). |

Sort of, I said yes to Scott's direct question and checked more power in the poll.

Chevy has done a very good job with this in the ZR1 and CTS-V. The track testing cycle was good before the ZL1, but they took it to a much higher level with the ZL1. I have confidence in the people I know at GM so I would say not to worry. On the flip side, a fire breathing N/A 650 fly wheel would be my weapon of choice. It is my weapon of choice in the L/28. |

Pete & Lowdown i voted that way as well while commenting Yes. Great minds think alike. Bottom line if the 1LE is produced as it is, it is "very" close to what I'm looking for. The LS7 and naming it a Z28 would have put it over the top.

I don't think there's any smoke and mirrors on this. I honestly think Fbod is stating it as it is. Want the 1LE as is?, then we'll do it. The comments he made regarding other drivetrain I read as a comment on Lowdown's remarks regarding the LS7. If the 1LE compares well against the Boss Mustang I'd be happy. I'll mod it the rest of the Way myself if I have to. Don't get me wrong I would prefer it to have the LS7.

"I would question no power bump, what is the need for a 1LE or Z/28 if it's the same LS3 in the SS? Just make a "track pack" suspension, etc. option for the SS and call it a day. I think the 1LE or Z/28 needs it's own powerplant that is different than the SS, it needs to be a total package. Clyde " And that is exactly how I feel, a 1LE or Z/28 needs to be a complete package as well as different than the SS and ZL1. I see no need for a 1SS, 2SS and 1LE all with the same engine, it just doesn't sit right with me. And actually I could care less about a 1LE, I'm really looking for a Z/28. Clyde |

How much of a power bump will the electric steering and exhaust add? Any guesses?
