Scott... although I only had the very brief pleasure of meeting you only once at CFest 2 in Arizona when you signed my car, I've thoroughly enjoyed every post and all the 'goodness' you've added to this forum over the years. Your posts have been and always are worth reading. It isn't often that one gets to interact with someone who's become a legend in their own time, but you sir are one of those people. I will forever associate the word "Camaro" and all that it means with you, your smile, your wonderful energy and enthusiasm for a great American product and icon.
You are in my prayers and I hope your health allows you to continue participating in the world of Camaro. I mean; what's this forum every year without Season's Beatings and Police Navidad!?? You have my respect, appreciation and admiration good sir...live long and prosper!

Congrats on a great 38 years Scott! And to many more fun years to come enjoying Camaros and Camaro friends.
First time I met you was at Mid Michigan Motorplex, Stanton MI. They had an F-body event going on and there was a Camaro Display with a terminal to sign up for a special rebate. I signed up, got the rebate, and bought the car. 4th Gen SS. Loved that Camaro, and every one since! Enjoy a well deserved retirement Scott! Hope to see you at many more events. Russ |

I think our paths missed crossing by a matter of minutes at a South Jersey event a while back, but we did exchange a couple of private messages, something about the then-upcoming Z/28. Your influence has reached beyond the strictly GM family. May it continue to do so, somehow. Take care. Norm

Enjoy your remaining days at GM and focus on the people you've worked with over the years and not necessarily the corporate entity you've been so loyal to.
The Camaro name is synonymous with Scott Settlemire and nothing can ever take that away. I really look forward to seeing you just be you at future Camaro events. It's always special when you attend so keep your calendar full but rest up in between and get to work on that book. (Dibs on a signed copy..) ...and here's my favorite pic. |

Congratulations Scott, you are one class act that I am honored to have met many times, and I look forward to seeing you many more times.
What do a mere SEVEN doctors know? Enjoy your retirement Scott, and more importantly, take care of yourself. Please? You know you are a permanent member of the Detroit5thGen Camaro club. We are having our Annual Bonfire at Mike G's house this coming Saturday the 19th. We'd be honored if you'd stop by even if it's just for a few min.? God Bless you Scott for everything you've done for us. |
