Question V6 versus V8 -- exterior / trim differences?

What do you guys predict will be the exterior differences between the V8 and V6 Models?

For instance, the differences between the V6 and V8 (GT) Mustang is that the V8 has fog lights, different rims, dual exausts, painted rocker panels, and a different front bumper

Really hard to say at this point, but I'd guess dual exhaust, rims, rear bumper, and maybe a slightly different front fascia.

Some have even suggested that the V6's won't have a cowl hood.

I think the differences will be close to what the Mustang has. I'm also thinking it will follow previous generations: different hood and spoiler, maybe rocker moldings, fog lamps, wheels, exhaust, vents of some sort.

Smile

you would think that it would be similar. cause Gm does that with alot of their cars. i mean they change the looks of their cars that are the same but are different model types.

I may be way off on doing this but most of where I get my assumptions come from the G8. In doing so, I guess the camaro v6 and v8 will have an almost identical look. Even if im wrong on that, I bet the front scoop will be on v6 models too because it is a strong detail for the camaro.

Thumbs up

i'm sure the the base model will share almost all of the higher models sheet metal (or plastics). my dad has a 04 monte carlo LS and other than the fact that it has grilles in place of foglamps, non body color rocker panels and no rear wing and the smaller wheels/tires it is the same a the SS. even the rear fascia has 2 dents for the dual exhaust but he has one and you can even see on the cars under body where the other muffler would attach to. and remember the 4th gen cars? the only thing on them was the front fascia insert for the fog lamps and the badging. i remember on the early 4th gen cars the Z28 had the roof (on non ttop cars) and C pillar painted black instead of body color.

Good I don't like it when there's special badges plastered all over the place on more top-end versions. I like more of the sleeper look

I really hope there are many exterior differences between the V6 & V8 cars. That was a major beef I had with the CF4 (4thgen) cars , they V6 and Z28 looked waaayyy too much alike.

I don't want them to have too many differences. The v8 would be fine with the SS badge in the grille, a spoiler, different rims.

im gonna say the fogs will be on the v6 also. they were on in the 4th gen. i think the only real difference in exterior will be the scoop in the hood, or maybe a whole new hood, and wheels and tires. interior: maybe a different leather pattern, stearing wheel depending on the model. i dont think there will be a whole lot of difference until you get to the nitty gritty motor and suspension details. i kinda hope there is a big difference in the v6 and v8 version though. that was one thing i liked about the firebird and trans am. they were very different from each other in appearance.
