It's always been a 5 person car, while the Camaro and Mustang are 4 person cars.

By that I mean in reviews and stuff it always says the Challenger seats 5, while it says Mustangs and Camaros seat 4. I can count on one hand the number of times I've had 4 people in my car though.

I have to disagree. I can pull both my seats on my Camaro all the way up and it will look like that. Look at the interior size and compare the 3 cars. VERY CLOSE.

My Camaro is a two seater, no backstreet riders, that's what my Jeep Grand Cherokee is for.

Not a dig on the Camaro, the Challenger is just simply a bigger car.

Not arguing that the Challenger has more room, it does, but it's really the foot room that makes the difference between the Camaro and Challenger. The Camaro backseat has a lot of room, except where you place your feet (and getting in and out, but all 2 door, 4 seat cars have that problem). Just look at the Camaro convertible picks and see how big that back seat looks.
Maybe GM can do something to back seat foot room in a future model year. |

Different strokes for different folks man. And the selection of fun sedans in this price range sucks ass.

Keep in my the challenger is built on the same platform as the charger. It has the same dimensions as the very comfortable 4 door. And IMO a much nicer interior as well as more room.

There is no free lunch. You can't have a bigger car without sacrificing performance elements, unless price goes up. If you want more, pay more ... or don't complain that you lost out on something else. When I bought my coupe, I knew that I'd hardly ever have a 3rd passenger. And since I liked the styling better on the 2 door, thats what I decided to buy. But if there was going to be 3-4 people in the car on a regular basis I'd have gotten a sedan, or perhaps a larger car altogether. Why? Because sitting in the back seat of a coupe sucks. Space is compromised, they're difficult to get into and out of, the windows are usually fixed in place, they're harder to see out of ... all sorts of problems. I just can't imagine anyone who truly values the comfort of rear passengers ever seriously considering a coupe over a sedan.
