Differential Question Need Help

I have an 01 V6 with an open differential. I have a 3 series gear (3.42) and a 4 channel (has traction control). Now heres my question. Would a 3 series posi unit and a 3 channel (with out traction control) fir in my rear end with out any problems? Im debating on buying it for $125 shipped. So I need some input ASAP. Thanks a lot. Derek

Here is the email he sent me

The posi that I am selling is originally out of a 3 channel rearend and will also work in a 4 channel rearend housing

You can't put a posi from your 4 channel housing into a 3 channel housing,
but you can put a 3 channel posi into a 4 channel housing because the sensors are
on the ends and by using my 3 channel posi you don't change any of that.
