Thumbs down Criswell Chevrolet Quick Service

Just had to rant and let the fellow Camaro/Chevy owners out there know what happened to my wife today at Criswell Chevrolet...

If you buy a car from Criswell, they give you 8 free oil changes. We've bought 3 cars from them over the past 4 years: 2 - SS Camaros and 1 - Eco Cruze.

So, my wife takes the Cruze in today to the quick service oil change. She pulls up, gets out of the car and the attendant comes up to her and asks for her name. She says Jennifer then spells out our last name - M A L H O T R A.

This a$$hole named Malcolm says: what the hell kind of name is that - he was laughing - then he said where did you find this guy off the street near the garbage.

My wife looks at him and I'm sure in disbelief and he says - oh honey I am just kidding with you.

First of all, he is lucky I wasn't there and lucky my 1 year old and 4 year old were in the backseat of the car and couldn't hear. We obviously called and complained, but who knows what that will do...so I wanted to just pass this along to you all...if you happen to take your car to the quick service at Criswell and see Malcolm...be sure to

Yeah i had a bad exp with them also. Promised to sell me a ZL1 at MSRP, but when it came time to place the order they wanted another 10k over the MSRP.
I ended up not getting a 2012 ZL1, due to the limited amount of allocations provided for the first year of production.
But I was able to purchase a 2013 ZL1 from Rockmount Ourisman in Rockville for MSRP and chevy had a rebate going on for $500 and I used my GM credit card miles for an additional $2,000 off.

I believe her husband who he was commenting about the last name of. Just a really stupid joke in poor taste, not a very good impression for the dealership.

Yeah, I think I would want a bit of clarification on that as well. Was he asking your wife if she found her Cruze in a pile of garbage?

Do you know this person?

That seems a bit out of context. Why would someone whom you don't know and never wrote a service ticket for you or your wife before today say something like that otherwise? Something doesn't add up....

If he just said that out of the blue I'm thinking suspend at the very least, terminating him would be preferable. If that's how it went down, of course.

He - as in me...cause of the last name. I'm Indian, my wife being Irish and typical looking irish girl.

No, he was referring to the last name...not the car.
First time ever going to quick service...do not know anyone in service there.
Yes, that is how it went down...He called me to apologize after I called and talked to manager. I was honest with him, I told him his apology meant nothing to me and I hope he got fired and learns how to talk/treat people.

OP - you should make that your last visit to Criswell then. Oil changes aren't too hard to do, nor are they expensive.

Tempting, but my dealer is 5 minutes from me. IDC if the service sucks or not as long as my issue is resolved. And my service advisor is pretty cute.

You must be talking about Sport Chevrolet the worst place in our area. They still owe me $95.00 for an O2 sensor I bought after they tried to say my catalytic converters where bad. When i stated that I didnt have catalytic converters he doubted me then brought me out to a car that wasnt even mine. Then he tried to lie and say my tune is what was causing a p0171 lean on bank 1 code. Those guys are a joke.

Sorry bout your luck

I bought my Camaro from Criswell and didn't have any problems, the sales guy Peter Eaton hooked me up pretty well. Like the initial post states, the service dept people are a bunch of PRICKS! While my issue was with one of the women there, being rude and nonchalant towards my wife and I. I found my sales guy and told him that after spending that much $$$ there and to be treated like this I was highly disappointed, he not only took control of the issue personally, but I received a phone call from the said woman apologizing.

FASTLANE2010----> I went to buy at Hoffman being as what I'm from Hagerstown, and they wouldn't work with me on my trade in or on a Camaro, then after being sideswiped by a dumb@ss woman, I took my Camaro to the repair shop there, and dude @ counter just seemed very inattentive to me, and didn't seem like he could care one way or the other that I was there for business! ***Side note, my wife and I went again to Hoffman ready to buy a used car, and the sales guy there was a complete moron who tried B.S.ing me , I've had no luck what so ever with y'all.....no disrespect meant.

I bought both my cars from Criswell, Peter Eaton is a great guy that will take care of you without a doubt. They have the best selection of Vette's in the area and few ZL1's. only used quick change oil once w/o any problems.
