Does this matter?

Just went to check if I have the weak or strong MAF sensor, and lost the seal/square o - ring rubber piece that goes in between the sensor and my CAI inc intake. Does this matter at all? Or do I need to order another?

Just got headers/tune yesterday if that matters.

Is it okay to have the CAI tube mount directly to the TB without the rubber seal holding the two together? LOL

Can't tell if this is sarcasm? I wouldn't say my situation is comparable to that.

It was sarcasm, sorry. Ya I would replace it if I were you. Basically it keeps from drawing in air from that square port and you may lose some vacuum pressure from that as well (Not 100% sure on pressure).

Should be cheap.

What I was thinking, if so shouldn't be awful I wouldn't think, there isn't any play or gaps. The seal is somewhere in my engine bay, gonna take a compressor to it and try to blow it out.

I think It is just a common O ring go to the local parts store and show them whats up. If you cannot find it. I have only taken mine out like twice, I imagine it would leak air around the sensor without it and could suck...LOL

I would think a better way would be to clean out your vacuum cleaner or shopvac really well, then vacuum all around in the engine bay (especially in the front). Then open the vacuum/shopvac and see if you got lucky.

If you blow that small o-ring out on the floor/ground you will likely not find it.
