Driving with DVD playing

Anyone who had a DVD player indash ever drive with a movie playing?

I had mine bypassed so I can have one playing with the vehicle in gear. I have driven with a movie playing so my wife and kids can watch a movie and I just get to listen to it and keep my eyes on the road. Anyone else do this too?

illegal in most if not all states. Which is probably why the system won't let one play while the car is in gear.

i only put something on when another person is in so they can watch. Dont really do it when im driving alone. The bypass is a good feature to entertain pasengers though!

In my Tacoma, I used to put in a DVD so that passengers can watch while on a road-trip. While driving by myself, however, I wouldn't.

I have it in my avalanche and have the bypass.
I recorded song videos onto dvds (instead of just the songs them selfs) then I can listen to it and it also entertains the passengers.
