Antenna Paint

I have a 2011, White on order. Followed posts regarding changing out stock black roof antenna with a color matched painted antenna.
Can not do this myself.
If I ask my paint shop to paint my black plastic antenna, without removing the antenna, what paint prep should I tell them to consider?
Does a painted antenna affect radio reception?

No it will not affect reception!!!! But take it off to paint it,it is very easy most bodyshops should be more than capeable of doing this mod the right way!!!
Even if you have someone take it off you can do the exchange antenna or send it to myself or GarysCustoms to have it done!!!!!!

Look at my white ss in my signature, and my pace car....the antenna painted is a great finishing touch! Let me know, if I can help.
Enjoy yours, and have fun!

Thank you all for your input.
Yes, I am aware of aftermarket antenna repaints, yes I have viewed video to replace antenna.
I live in Ottawa Ontario, and no I do not want to have some jerk pulling out my headliner, or pay the dealer hundreds of extra dollars in labor to pull out my headliner to install another roof mounted antenna.
Less expensive for me would be to have roof antenna painted white without removing.
3-Stage paint process...please explain so I can pass this info to my local paint shop.

Your local paint shop will know what to do if they are any good. If not, telling them what to do is a waste of time. Just take them the car see what they say.

Has anyone relocate the antenna from the roof ?

I think it takes from the look of the car.
