2011 A6 problem

Have had this problem happen about 6 times now.
On the 2-3 shift (either D or M) second will release at say 2000rpm, the revs go up to about 3000 before third engages. Other times the 2-3 still seems to be slower switching than other gears. Rest of gear changes seem to be okay.
Any one else have this problem or know what is going wrong?

It's a shift flare issue. Gm did have an updated calibration to help with this. It may or may not have been applied to your car. It's a tuning situation for sure.

Thanks for the info, I will go into the dealer and ask about this.
Is this a setting in the ECM that a tuner (Superchips) wouldn't change?

a good tune yes it would change(most likely), superchips nope.
and if you used the superchips already you warranty is bye bye.

Already asked my dealer, he said tuner was okay, as long as it's returned to stock program when I bring it in.

I had same issue last Aug. 2011 (on my 2011 2LT, A6). Dealer replaced the TCM and re-programmed. Problem solved.
