Were they busy? It's possible they made one or more mistakes and are trying to make it perfect for you. On the other hand, maybe they just ruined the stripes and had to buy an aftermarket set. I'd check the stripes very carefully when you go to pick it up. This has happened to one member already...just one side: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=stripe+fraud

I dont have my car yet... but the parts dept at the dealer said they keep the car 24hrs to let the stripes set? I havent read that anywhere on this site.

Wow, I dropped my car off last friday at 7:30 a.m. and picked it up at 3:30 p.m the same day and my car looks great. They had to have done something wrong.

I've heard some shops like to keep it for at least 24 hours to ensure there's no bubbling.

well had, hadnt planned to go by to get my house key on not having car, all they had done was the hood, they said it was very hard and had to get a specialist in.

Hood did look great though!!! real great!!

so its supposed to be done by 10:30 tomorrw am, they have to pull the spoiler and do the deck and that is it.

So here's to hoping.

They may be keeping over night to make sure that they can check their work. Looking for bubbles and such.

good luck and post some pics.... I imagine they are just nervous and want it done right so they won't have to do it over. Honestly, I just wish they would have just done all stripes at the factory.

They're buying time to fix what they f*%$ed up. I dropped my car off and in 1 hour my stripes were on. NO bubbles, no paint scratched.

they may be, but they had a very nice shop, where very professional, the owner was considerate and nice.....to the steam right out of me I had totally planned on being a bitch......but what the heck.

If it is perfect and looks great, then its all good. I'd rather it was done totally right then blow off the first time I floor it.

well winner gets a prize! I picked it up today and sure enough, they had botch one on the hood and tried to hide it.

The service manager at my dealer almost flipped, he ordered me a new set and they get to try again.
