LOL - there is no caboose to see what happened
Locomotive Engineers look forward and barely look back. if the guy hit him mid section he wouldn't even feel it. The only way he would of stayed if it happened in front of him and he hit the car, depending on where the crossing was, in town or out of town is what determines how fast that train was going to.

I'm glad the guy is okay so he can live with the consequences of his stupidity. Hopefully this is a life lesson learned and he doesn't repeat this stupidity and endanger others.

With all the wrecks with the Camaros I've been pretty impressed how well it protects its passengers, poor car, stupid driver.

This, and the sad thing is when I was younger (much younger) I was one of those idiots, thankfully I was never pulled over, or wrecked anything..

When I drink, and thats not very often these days, I drink at home...

One of the great things about being older is being wiser, but getting older still sucks!! LOL!!!

I think that when somebody is driving drunk, they should ALWAYS bust out the ol' Jaws of Life, start cutting, peel back the roof, and pull them out by the hair... even when they are just pulled over on the side of the road.

As mentioned above, YES.

What if the person is suffering from a broken back and you tip the car over and it slams down and injures them even further? Or what about jagged objects from the crash ready to impale someone.

Same reason you put people on stretchers, to reduce further injury.

I feel bad for the guy losing his car, his licence, maybe his job and between 10,000 and 20,000 in legal fees plus any damages the railroad wants to hit him for.

Seriously?? You feel bad??? How? Why? He earned and deserves anything and everything he has to pay. I just wish he lost an arm or his legs or something so he can't do it again.

And how is that anyone's problem. The guy drove drunk. They should do whatever is easiest for them. A sober person take all precaution for sure. A drunk, just get them and the car out of the way quickly and easily. Who cares? They didn't care when they drove drunk and put a family at risk of death. They took the easy way out, so should the people that go to the scene. A cat stuck in a tree should take priority over a DWI wreck.

I say this in regards to searches and field sobriety tests, neither of which you have to comply to.

You have to get out of the car if they ask you to.

What are you talking about? Until Tesla, the Camaro had the trophy for the highest crash test rating of any car on the road...

The NHTSA test data also provide a combined vehicle safety score that’s not typically released to the public. The lower the score, the better, said Ditlow, who analyzed the ratings data for the Los Angeles Times. The Model S scored lower than any other car, he said, posted a .42. The next best vehicle was the Chevrolet Camaro, at .47.
Do you even know about the Camaro's monocoque construction?

This thing is a tank!
