Your Chevy dealer should offer a 3M clear bra that you can have installed before you pick up your car.

They can get pricey though I saw one shop was charging like $700+ for one...

Of course, you could get the whole car done like others have done. No noticeable edges, but it's expensive.

Not worth it IMO...it's great until there's an 'issue'.

A buddy had one for four years and it began to yellow...took both of us a whole day to remove it...it wasn't pretty.

Dealer scratched my front air dam and I had to remove the bra to replace it. It too was a nightmare (only 1.5 years old) and I decided never ever to have one again. It also collects wax, dirt, etc over time and slowly becomes more noticeable.

Personally, I will never have another one.

But...that's just my opinion.

Here's my opinion on the 3M clear bra...... For what it's made to do it is amazing..... It repells rocks and bugs (especially) like you wouldn't believe. With that said if this car is your daily driver and you worry about that kind of stuff, I would get the clear bra. If this car is always going to be garage kept and driven only in nice weather and kept clean all the time, I don't think I'd spend the money on it.

The place in Vermillion near me does them (and well). They will do front of the car and mirrors for little over $400 I believe.

Called the nearest 3m installer and was quoted...

$350 for the fenders, mirrors, hood
$450 for the bumper.

$800 to get the car covered is ****ing ridiculous!

Did it leave any permanent residue? Were you able to get it all cleaned off?

had one on my 350z TOTALLY worth it... when your driving at 130 miles and hit a collection of bees and mosquitos... that seem to get "stuck in the paint" youd be wishing you had the bra

Because can be obnoxiously patient...yep...I got it all off. But there were several points where I would have kicked puppies or eaten babies if they had been close by....

First thing to go on after the painted stripes.

When we bought my wife's lexus we scheduled to have the clear-bra on the next day. On the way home she got a tiny rock chip. They said that they couldn't do any touch-up under the material so we went ahead and got the bra installed. When I'm walking up to the car now my eye is drawn to this tiny black chip mark long before it is to the edge of the material on the hood. We did her GS and my Suburban and this stuff is great. We take my Suburban on the road to our place in the Mtn's of Idaho, summer and winter. I have it on all leading edges, hood bumper and mirrors. I have still gotten a few minor rock chips up on the top of the hood probably during winter driving with the sand on the roads. I can only imagine how bad it would be without the clear-bra. My wife GS still looks perfect after 3 years, with the exception of that tiny chip. Her GS cost $550 and is around the same size as a Camaro. My Suburban ran $800. This is the single best thing I can doo to protect my car. IMHO
