i was in the grocery store for 3-5min, and someone keyed my damn car. and not just a little....the WHOLE DAMN DRIVERS SIDE from the front bumper to the back, and down to the metal. i am literally in tears right now. this had never happened to me before EVER.

no one even knows me here, so its not like its an enemy etc... its juust random act of destruction. i am sooo angry and sad. i just bought this damn thing.... oh and i got my first door ding this week too..

and i park as far away as possible from ANYONE alll the time. i am so careful about this stuff, and now the paint is SCREWED!

Insurance man its a beautiful thing. It should be labeled as vandalizm so it wont go against you, you will just have to pay your deductable. As for me, i have had mine for a year i have had 1 door ding, that was 50$ to pop out, and i got keyed on my drivers side door streight to the metal. that was 3 weeks ago. Paid my 250$ deductable and looks good as it did before, you will be fine with some minor loss to your wallet = / sorry to hear man, Hey if they say the scratches require complete repainting of the entire side, Mabey you can get a great deal and have the whole care custom painted under your insurance? who knows thats what my insurance agent said, to bad they didnt key your whole care so you could choose a paint color of your choice haha. Food for thought. Good luck man that sucks.

What i would do, park like you dont give a sh** normally they dont mess with people that they dont think care, but it probably was a douche move against chevy = /

Sorry for the damages though, your best bet is your insurance company to fix the whole thing

I think from now on I am going to park as close to the front of a store as possible. I see to many threads like this popping up and it seems like all of them were parked way out of the way and I am starting to think closer is better........I know that door dings are more likely that way but I prefer a ding over a keying any day either way man I hope you get it fixed soon

Call ur insurance company and change ur deductable to $250 then report the vandalism two months from now. Problem solved...sorta.

Oh man, this really sucks... I sincerely feel for you.

I expereinced something similar lately, when after a month of ownership, I hit a porcupine on the road and had to have my front fascia replaced and front passenger quarter panel worked and repainted. I felt so violated.

I imagine how you feel, as that really is a random act of vandalism. God I hate the haters...

Well, good luck man. And remember that you still own one of the most beautiful cars on the road. When repainted, it'll be like new. Just make sure you find a good shop to do the paint work.

i was at ralphs. its possible it happened earlier at the gym, but i doubt it, i noticed it right away when i came out of the store, and i would have probably noticed it at the gym too if it happened there. its pretty damn bad...you can EASILY get your finger nail hung up on the scratch, and its like that the whole way down the side.
