Not Happy with RiderGraphix

In their ad for Upper Fender Accent Stripes the stripe is about 1/2 inch down from the body crease line - looks fine.

http://www.ridergraphix.com/2010_Cam...er_Accent.html

The actual front fender/door stripe follows the crease nicely except for the very front facia where the stripe turns down too much. But the rear fender stripe is not the right contour to follow the body crease. Looks like eye brows on an old lady!

its amazing how much vinyl and premask stretches. you can install that on any arc you want.next time pay for the install, and if they botch it, they fix.

yeah, this doesn't look like bad graphics... I think a hairdryer would've helped you get the right lay.

Things I learned putting on my vinyl stripes and lettering.
1. Read the instructions that came with the graphics or get them off the web site of the company who produced the graphic.
2. From the instructions determine if you are going to install them wet or dry. (I did one graphic on the windshield dry and had a lot of problems with air bubbles)(I did my hood spears wet and did not have near the problems with air bubbles).
3. Dry fit the graphic to get an ideal what it will look like in place and make sure the fit is correct.
4. If it does not look right in step 3 contact the company you got it from to see if the issue can be corrected before you do the install. (Remember vinyl does stretch. So there is some room to adjust it.)
5. If it is a long or large graphic--GET HELP. That extra pair of hands and eyes can really make the install go easier.
I know the issues I had with my installs were not caused by the graphics being wrong but by the way I installed them. It was a learning process for me.

just contact them people get really upset here if you do this its not really fair cause I'm sure they have thousands of satisfied customers and they will help you out , all those vendors check these threads so beware.you dont want to be made to look like a total jerk because of a simple complaint when it wasn't your intention to badmouth them as much as ask advice

I echo the comments made - dry fit, ensure the vinyl is warm (eg lay in sun a short time), apply wet and contour as you want/vinyl allows.

Brian is great at customer service when given the chance - he got on the phone with me and my installed to ensure my hood spears went on properly - pm him at autoguy with your issue.

Actually, I did contact them FIRST. I was looking for answers - this is what I got!

Roger,

These stripes are designed to have a curve in them. Nowhere does it say they follow the exact body line. They are not supposed to be straight along the body line. They are an upper fender Accent stripe. If you look at the pictures on our website, you can see the same curvature. I'm not quite sure what you did at the rear, they should have been up higher than where they are. The front end of both stripes looks just like it is designed to.

Actually you contacted me AFTER they were installed with the same pictures you have here attached to the email. There is not much I can do to help once they are installed.
